Default Proportion valve question

I have a 326 Lemans 1965 AT drum brake car. I am going with a dual brake master cylinder. Do I need a proportion valve?

Not if you're keeping it all drum brakes.

It's an easy swap. Remove the rear brake line from the junction block. Plug the opening and extend that line with another piece of brake line and a union to the new master cylinder. connect the line you removed from the old cylinder (that now connects only to the front brakes} to the new master. Bleed the system and you are done.
