Found one in mine Mike, unfortunately I don't think it will authenticate.

Appears to be one of the early restamps of blank bowls PY was selling in the early days.

is a car that used to be worth $150k but is now worth about half that still worthy of a $5K carburetor? Just wonder if the prices of the cars will have an impact on the prices of the parts...not that it will have a bearing on anything I own. lol

I think Mike's cars are holding their value.

As long as the parts are coming out of the woodwork, I need one also! Let me know after you pick up the ones you need Mike.

Sadly, No PM's and no carb yet. But, if anyone knows a hoarder let me know...

I know one guys who might have a couple, but he hasn't budged.

Brian, I've seen the one you have and it isn't right for my car.

Ron, not sure if my car is worth half (75K) as nobody has offered any money or have I asked for awhile.

But, for what its worth my 69 is really a nice example to get a quality carb.

BTW: I bought a nice part for my 70 recently and paid what is was worth a few grand.

Also, I have a nice SR on car and it runs great so I'm not in a hurry.

not knocking the cars or their values...just curious as to whether or not the parts prices have followed suit. Haven't seen much on e-Bay lately. The best cars will continue to bring top dollar in my opinion.

I have not seen rare parts prices drop. I sold my NOS RAIV block for a price you would not believe and purchased an NOS rally guage oil pressure sender for a crazy amount also.

If you gotta have it, you gotta have it.....................

Default 7029273 service dated

I bought a service date one - 7029273 that is date 0542. all the casting numbers, etc are correct. From what I can see this is a 1969 carb that was assembled in 1972 for service use. It is not a restamp or a fake - it was just machined with the 1969 production carbs and the parts were left over from the run. It was then assembled in 1972 for service use. I have been told this is a rare carb, infact, that from one person that this is the only service dated carb he has seen. The normal practice was to use the 7029270 service carb with a plug over the vacuum port. I paid $1000 for it and would sell it if someone is in need andnot just trying to sell it for a profit, if not no big deal. Jim 209-601-4408
