Default used axles

Any market for a set of stock 28 spline used axles? They came out of my 79 Trans Am to make room for the new 30 spline aftermarket axles I went to. Didn't want to throw the used ones away if there is any call for them.

Surely someone would want them. However shipping costs kinda sour the deal for anyone not living close enough to pick them up.

I shipped a pair of axles to Moser and I don't recall it being crazy expensive. The key is minimizing the box size. U-Haul has lots of weird size boxes. I think I used a "lamp box" that was skinny and long.

tyrap the 2 together and put a label on it
UPS will see this as a challenge to break.
I sent a camshaft in a cardboard tube once...they broke it.
Cams are now shipped in schedule 40 PVC

Got those beat. I shipped a set of heads in a pair of Samsonite suitcases, on a Greyhound bus. Cheap.
So i sent an Armasteel crank in a suitcase on the Greyhound bus.

Greyhound package express (GPX) ended third party shipping last September. Used them for twenty years. Was a good alternative.

Default Drum or factory disc rear?

There is a difference in stock axles between the two. Never had much call for the stock c-clip drum axles, do keep a few pair in the racks.

Factory disc axles I do ship out a few each year. Once the axle bearing surface on a c-clip axle is pitted or grooved from resultant wear, one is living on borrowed time.
