I have a non-AC radiator and wanted to know if the tanks are the same between this and a 17 inch core radiator. In other words can I simply install a larger core and have it match a AC radiator. Are the Harrison codes the same.

Harrison made 3-row core tanks and 4 row core tanks.

Harrison radiator made tanks with the water inlet on the passenger side 64/65
and radiator tanks with the water inlet on the drivers side 66+.

3 core tanks work with 3 core radiators.

4 core tanks work with 4 core radiators. A/C radiators are typically 4 core radiators.

Just remember that an a/c core support is different than a non a/c one.

If you are talking about putting an a/c radiator in a non-ac car, there is a kit to convert a non-a/c core support to the a/c core support. This is a good thing since a/c core supports in good shape are becoming scarce. Thanks for the responses. I actually have the AC core support but the radiator that came with it (in the trunk) is the 15” variety. So I was seeing if you could add a 17” core to the 15” tanks.

Are you saying the both 3 and 4 core radiators went into a AC core support.

Tanks are interchangeable. I have sold 3 row and 4 row tanks to be re-cored to 15in or 17in as needed. You just need to have the top rubber piece in the top bracket to be for your size tank and the 2 bottom brackets to also be for your size tanks.
I don't think the 17in ever came in 3 row.

The '65 Tripower car had the AC type support but ran a shorter 15 " tall 4 row core. I have the original one in my '65, a Non AC but original Tripower car.
