1972 Monte Carlo
Figured I would give it a shot here and hope for some exposure. I am linking to my Craigslist ad so that I won't have to retype everything.
http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/3502856424.html Mainly looking to sell outright, but will trade for some sort of cool Pontiac project + cash.

Picture of the trunk floor for those that have asked. Didn't feel like removing the spare tire, jack, etc to get a shot of the entire floor. But, it is all this solid and clean.

Bump...
Have had several decent offers, but no cash in hand yet. Will deliver up to 250 miles from where the car is stored. (zip 32713) Make me a fair cash offer, all I can say is no - or counter offer.

Bump for the new month. Currently in talks with a few people about the car, but no cash in hand yet. I'd rather not deal with eBay. (thieves)

I decided to do this, a good friend of mine had decent luck last week doing just that. If it sells, I owe you cold "beverage" or two. I pulled the CList ad, too many wishbones with no money trying to trade their hoopty for my car.

Car is back up for sale due to a non-paying bidder. Have many pictures of the car, ask and you shall receive. Couldn't edit my original post, so here is the revised ad...
Looking to sell out right, however will consider partial trades plus cash. As far as trades, I am interested in things that go bang, ammo, and a 2dr (post or hardtop) 69' or 72' Chevelle rolling chassis/project car. Asking $9800 OBO. I have a slew of extra Monte-specific parts that can be included for the right price. Basic run down of the car: Factory A/C, PS, Power disc brake, N10 sport steering wheel, bucket seats & console, 350 4bbl, automatic, rear defroster, gauge package with tachometer, rally wheels. The engine & transmission are not matching #, and have roughly 8K miles on them since the rebuild. (355 SBC/TH350) The car is an older restoration completed about eight years ago. Great driver, everything works. Has a few cosmetic blemishes - rock chips, etc. Recently I have replaced the fuel tank and sending unit, front sway bar bushings, and fuel pump. At the same time I had the original carburetor rebuilt, and added a complete Pertronix conversion to the original distributor - electronic ignition module, coil, plug wires. (no more points) I also cleaned, painted, resealed, and added fresh fluids to the 12 bolt rear. (2.73 ratio) As for mods, very few... 2.5" mandrel bent dual exhaust system, ceramic coated mid length headers, mild comp cam. My father and I rebuilt this car for my mother, it was her car up until a year ago. I purchased it from them to help them pay some medical bills. I redid a few things I felt were "iffy" and am now just trying to recoup some of my money. It is a great driving car, but I do not have room or time for everything I own. My loss is your gain. This is pretty much how the car sits now, with the exception of the center caps. I replaced the ones in the picture with factory "top hat" rally caps. Open to serious offers, car is located between Orlando and Daytona, Florida. (I am about 30 minutes away from both cities)

Mentioned...
this to my buddy in Bradenton...he just had me ship his '71 Chevelle Custom down there. Not a Malibu or a 300...never saw this model. It's a 307, 3-on-the-tree. If not interested in trading, he's gotten in with several "car guys" in the area...always looking. Your's matches his '70 SS...red/red four speed Chevelle. Otherwise...good luck and a free bump! Nice car...I always liked the Montes. Ron

Thanks Ron, I am about two hours away from Bradenton. I used to go out there to race at private track rentals a couple of times a year.
Just got the carburetor back from Ken @ Every Day Performance. I will be putting it back on tomorrow and getting it all adjusted. I expect it to run even better than before. I plan to be driving this car a lot now that the nice weather has returned. It is a great cruiser, very comfortable on long trips.

Bump TTT... lots of tire kickers and wish bones, but no one with money yet. A few people have suggested that I am not asking enough for the car, thus hurting a potential sale.
I feel I have it priced right for someone looking for a fair deal.

I appreciate it Ron. Not much action lately, just people trying to trade me their late model vehicles that aren't worth more than $3K - $4K. I have fun with them and email them back with a link to the kbb.com appraisal of the heap they're trying to trade me.

72 Monte Carlo
One of my favorite cars when I was still single (Money to burn! ) was a 1970 Red Monte Carlo, white top & interior.
I saw it sitting on the lot at Reedmans Auto in Langhorn Pa in late 1970. Instant love affair Had about 6200 miles when I bought it. 402 BB, 4 spd, A/C, buckets, console, AM/FM stereo, gauges & a 3.31 12 bolt posi. Not the quickest car back then, but it did make it into the high 13's at Atco & Maple Grove. Not too bad for a BOAT Surprised many "Muscle Cars" in it's day. This is one of those cars you wish you never sold, but I was starting my own auto repair business, so in 1975 this and my boat became expendable. 38 years later, I'm still in business, still married to my then girlfriend, now bride and still miss that car. Good luck with your sale, they are great cars! Ron
