I took my 69 lemans to some morons to do some brake work and one of them mentioned that he had a bare Ram Air Block and heads for sale. He wants 1000 for them, he says that the block has never been bored. Is this worth buying?

Not unless you are an anal restorer type with a GTO that need a particular coded engine block. I would go look at them and retrieve the head casting #'s and block stamp code, along with date codes for all involved parts.

It is only worth buying if the heads are RAIV, and that is very unlikely.
