Default Ventura headers??

Got a 76 - thinking about turning it into a drag car. Maybe even an IAII. (Don't think Maddogs will work).

Any header idea's for round port heads?

I've got a spare set of Hooker SC 4201's (68-72 abody)..any chance they'll go with some massaging??

Smile headers

I think the sub frame on those are the same as a 70-81 TA's. I know the spindle's and
A frames interchange so you may want to look at some firebird headers to see if they might work, but just the 70-81's.

I have a 73 Ventura with a 428 Pontiac motor with Edelbrock round port cyl heads. I run Hedman Hustlers. The motor mounts were raised approx 1". You can stand under the car and install all the header bolts with ease. You can also go over the fenders and install the headers. 15 minutes per side. The easiest header installation on any Pontiac I have had. I have a 64 Tempest with E-Hds and Hooker Super Comp headers. This header installation is a PITA/typical Pontiac B-Buster.

What ^^^^ he said.

'75 and up X body has the same basic subframe & firewall that the second gen F body has.

So just use the 70-81 firebird headers and they should fit.

So technically no,the #4201 Hooker SC's are'nt correct,the #4202 Hooker SC's are.

I am running Hedman Hustler #35180. 2" tubes, they are cataloged for a 67/69 Firebird. The Ventura has been converted to manual steering.

Default headers

To ponsteen, The 71-74 venturas and the 74 GTO's are not the same as the 75 and up ventura's. 71-74's do use the same sub frame as the 67-68 firebirds but the 75 and up
ventura's use the same basic subframe as the 70-81 firebirds. just an FYI, wasent sure if you knew that

Default 74 Ventura Headers?

Trying to not start new threads and read and learn from old ones...
So maybe someone can help me understand what I need to look for.
74 Ventura - 400 with #48 D-ports
Header choices?
So it sounds like I need to look for 67-68 Firebird headers or?

Hooker super comps are by far the best fitting and easiest to install header for a 73-74 ventura with D-ports and all the original mounts. I don't have the # off hand but its easy to look up. If you need and exact # and still have questions I'll look it up for you.
When you use round ports, it gets a little ugly.

As Rob B said above, hooker supercomps #4107

But yes, the 67-69 birds used the same subframe so same headers apply.
