Cobrabill, I'm afraid you are right, but we can hope that someone can buy the entire lot and save these needed parts.

Looks like F-body bone yard heaven. Dont see yards like that much any more. There is a Mustang yard near here about half that size and his biz is off 25 to 30 %. Hope he finds a buyer.

Hard to beleive a parts yard like that cant make it even in this mess of an economy thinking he has a low overhead (if land is paid for).

Price em cheap enough people will buy, if any good.

I think Larry sold it a year or 2 ago?

He may have still had some involvement with it though.

Hope someone can do something with it. I sold Larry a formula about 7 years ago.

I'll say buyer beware! If you can go in person fine but buying and shipping..........Check out the business deal section I got ripped.Larry was good guy when he sold the business the people that ran the place were not very honest.I lived near there most of my life.

I was there when Larry owned it. I don't know where one would start if you bought all these cars. The reproduction market has hurt the price points on some pieces, but there are a lot or parts out there that are not reproduced. In my opinion, the right time of this hobby to have been dealing with this stuff has probably passed.

I was in one of the out buildings looking for a correct intake when Larry had it.We go into the building (dirt floor)and there were engines EVERYWHERE,probably not rare stuff but man it was tough walking around and thru the inside of building.

How true.

I for one wished I would have unloaded more in 2006/2007 when you could get $8,000 for a GTO roller.

I know one guy who is sitting on a "stash" of 455s and will not sell ONE for any amount of $. At least a few years ago.

He could have bought a vacation home if he would have sold out.

Its not going to come back to the high levels, and will get harder to move certain parts for any amount of money as more older hobby people get out and move into other retirement activities.

Cool

I would think that if you could buy the whole thing right, property inculded? you could make a few bucks on it, by advertising, selling at reasonable prices, and let volume make you money. have seen/known to many swap meet vendors who want top dollar for everything, and cart around the same stuff for years and bitch about how no ones buying! so goes the old saying of it only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. even in are current depressed market, price it right and better your chances of selling it. i've seen swap vendor want 10 bucks for the long bolt that goes from the water pump to the intake. and have a 100 of them in a bucket. sell them for a buck a piece, your still making money but you won't still have 90 of them 10 yrs from now. sorry for ranting, but, i'd hate to see these car get crushed when there are alot of guys out there who could use the parts, but don't have alot of money in there budget.

Great post. Yepper! Many parts vendors at the shows are insane with the prices they charge. Then the show ends and they're complaining about how stuff doesn't sell. I sell sometimes on ebay and to unload an item you have to take less than you'd like many times.
