Default "HO Information Input Divulged" by Tradermike2012

The scope of this post is to rebuild the missing Photo's from an existing post that some how the text is showing but the pictures of the parts are not . At some time I copied the Photo's of the "Rocket Box" and some "HO" data to read in the future. Now I want to give them back to the forum. I am Posting some "H O Rocket Box" documents to the forum that seemed to have gone missing, at least when I looked for them, I could not find them .This is but a few, there are plenty more, but some are to large to send .I found some 53 and 52 page "HO" documents .However, I can't download the large files to this forum . If there is a way please tell me and I will send them . I will send more small files to . When you read the text files that I copied keep in mind that I edited out the names of the speakers so my text to speech narrator could read back the words (with out the names of the speakers and what they drove) over there lives. New Idea is : Any body interested in the lost "HO" data, can contribute to my findings? I once red on this forum about the "Rocket Box" , I can't seem to access the photo's in his post and the originator of the topic has not produced them yet .Since it is Public Information know, I have copied some of that conversation and am willing to produce it and all Documents pertaining to "HO Racing". If even one of you want to keep it in the forum let me know now . Here is just some of what I have stored. I have some large files and I will need permission to down load them to this forum . Administrator help is needed please. Here is what I can do : Download all I can find from my files on my computer to this page. Then the Administrator can put copies of the missing photo's of the "Rocket Box" back into the original document that the "HO Rocket Box" owner compiled. There are an extra 52 and 53 page documents plus some other photo's for me to Input rite here into this post. The Administration can do what is best to fix and repair the original document and I will help in any way that I can. I can't say if the large 52 and 53 page documents are else were on this forum or if they to are missing there photo's. I can't remember but my guess is I must of taken these large documents directly off the internet. So we might as well produce them here and keep them alive for all to read. Mike out.

Craig Hendrickson was the Engineer/Designer of the "Rocket Box".
He and I (over the years) had several discussions on that innovative idea
before his passing a couple of years ago. The 52 Page and 53 Page documents
were probably the HO Racing Manuals.

Sorry to learn Craig Hendrickson passed away , I want to post all I have on my computer about his work back to this forum to keep it alive . The large files are to big for me to post them with out breaking down the Information Into one photo at a time. I can zip file them but That won't fool the program. Can the Administrator help me here ?

Thumbs up

Sorry to hear of the T400 issues. You need a PY trans guru.

I have wondered if there is thread about all of the H-O Racing cars, but have not seen it.

The HD Parts and Specs book mentions many of the Pontiacs owned by Craig Hendrickson Kern Osterstock and possibly Ken Crocie

I know Craig's 74 SD-455 TA is still kicking

I have the SD powered 73 TA of Kerns in the linked article.
Interestingly when I called Kern in 1979
Kern mentioned to me that Dick Guldstrand of Corvette fame changed the A arms in some way as well as Kern having the cut Guldstrand hi rate front springs and adding Koni shocks

Anyway
Guessing
There must be another 20 or so Pontiacs that may still exist that were personally owned/Driven by H ,O, KC
Several other Birds a Judge or 2 Bonnie GP 2 plus 2 tempests GTOs

I need to do some work on Kerns car for sure to get it back to a nice driver status.

Let's see a photo of the car you're talking about and write the history for all to see. This page will become the HO go to page; we need your input. Mike.

I have seen kits on line that allow more travel for the race shocks where they cut the Shock Tower and install the upper or lower "A"- Frames. About cutting Springs, I once over sprung my 3/4 Dodge Van by installing the suspension from a HD Dually Ambulance and had to lower the front Coil Springs. I met a Mechanic that new the fix, he simply heated the front Spring on the base and when the Spring dropped, he quenched the coil with water and that stopped it from dropping any more. You lose the temper in that Coil, but it is not used anymore. I was now able to Align the Front End now. Saves you from having to remove or cut the Front Spring.

Here are some more Photo's.I thru in some extra bonus feature pictures to savor over until I find some more single Photo's of "HO" . I need the Administrator soon because I have at least half a dozen large files rite now to down load, then I will proceed to scan my computer for more "HO" stuff. And I will throw in Interesting shots as I find them. I should have more saved txt files on "HO" also .I have been building my own library for the last 7-10 years as I have been building my 1979 Pontiac TA. If it were not that I got hit by the Ransom ware Thief I would have even more Pictures. No I did not buy my pictures back even though some were pictures of this build of mine.Mike out.

Ok - here go's on HO documentation - to start with.

First of all, a little preface on my stash of documentation. Some could call it hoarding, some genius.

As to some very brief background, I am an "old timer" I guess, and have been hot rodding since my early teens. I custom ordered my Bandit T/A from the dealer, and managed to keep EVERY piece of documentation on it, from the order sheet, to the window sticker, to the warranty pamphlets, etc.
I also subscribed to all of the HO, Nunzi, and Herb Adams stuff, as well as others, and kept all of it.

Alright, that said, first attachment is the (3) HO "Performance Guide and Catalogue's". They are pretty much identical, published in 1979, 1982, and the last one with the black cover is the last edition but I don't know what year. So, I could start posting pics from the last one given they are redundant?

To add to this, let's really have some fun. I also managed to keep EVERY edition of "High Output" publications, edited by Craig H. See 2nd and 3rd attachments, first and last editions. So once I post the pages of the books first, I could maybe do a weekly publication of the HO articles, and everyone can anticipate this every week just like I did 47 years ago? Or whatever.....

But only if there is an interest for this, as it certainly takes time. It is winter here and I am retired so time is something I have and love talking cars.

Lastly, I need to know if the format I am using for the attachments is readable.

Maybe they can do a Sticky File like my Holley Carb File since you have so much info and that way the comments/BS will be greatly reduced.
