I was actually looking for this one, something about this Ferrari I always liked. Simplistic, sexy lines. It looks like a Ferrari you can bang around with everyday.

Scam.

edit: the 400i is probably the most afforable classic Ferrari out there. Of course, the downside is most of them are automatics. I know of one for sale, the owner of Tuned Port Induction Specialties (TPIS) had his for sale the last I knew. I don't see anything on their website but you could email them, the owner is Myron Cottrell. http://www.tpis.com/

Never seen a Ferrari like that before, sure looks cool. I've been almost thinking of buying a Porsche to drive around with, the 944s can be had for kinda cheap, of course that could mean they suck.
My friend and I were looking at a Maserati Biturbo, it was cheap but needed a timing chain, apparently the parts alone were 600 bucks. He didn't end up buying it but it was still a cool little car to mess around with.

Here's a 355 Berlinetta for $46000. I can't believe the prices. This one is legit. This was one of my favorites at a time...still is, lol

944s can be good cars, but they have their quirks. Replacing the clutch is a ton of work, for one. The newest one you can afford is best, they made a lot of improvements to them over the years. Good thing you passed on the Biturbo...they were maintenance nightmares.

Codyyy,
One of the most comfortable cars I drove from the Porsche line up is a 944 Turbo. The interior is not outdated by any means and it still looks great.
If I am not mistaken, I think it was the first car to have a drivers side airbag. It had them back in I believe 1986. My favorite was the 928 GTS. I drove quite a few of them. Unfortunately, the automatics were the way to go fro the 928, the clutch felt like something out of a truck, very heavy to drive around, not practical for everyday.
The 944 Turbo or S2 shifted like butter and they moved and handled very well.

I agree, a friend of mine owned a mechanic shop. he was straight off the boat from Italy and often worked on Fiat's and Mazerati's. He said the Bi-Turbo was a killer to maintain. He liked the Fiat's.

bi-turbos had a bad habit of cracking their rear suspension crossmember plate. shaped like an "H" and consisted of two stamped halves welded together. Real PITA job to replace. Did one, took it for a test run down pa 32 to new hope along the river and back to frenchtown and be damned if i didn't crack the new one. ;~) And yes, to keep them getting through emissions each year was a bitch too. we had 3 or 4 we "kept" for their owners, no one in the shop wanted to touch them. except for hte test drives, not pretty cars, but they run like hell and are pretty nimble when they're on tune.

I can't really find any pricing on such a Ferrari, so I really don't know. I know some Ferrari's go cheap (I think the 308 is one).

When I was searching for my next car I wanted a 944. But I heard the turbos were big bucks to replace, and I could never find an S2 around me. Oh well I ended up getting a better car anyway.
