This doesn't look good. I found a listing for the number but I'm guessing it is old, shows "Polly Janco, Mary Day Ave. in Pontiac, Mich". Googled Polly Janco and found nothing.

Phone no. shows as a Metro PCS cell phone. For a fee you can find out what address is associated with the no.

According to Michigan DOC, his full name is John Franklin Thompson.

Google that name and find that he was booked into the Oakland County Jail on 4/12/15 and released in 4/14/15, just two days ago. Doesn't indicate why he was arrested.

Beck's Auto Sales listed an address of 4949 Clarkston Rd., Clarkston, MI. This is a residence.

Near as I can tell, Darlene Thompson lives there, possible phone no. 248-394-0351.

I wonder if it would be worth contacting the Oakland County Sheriff at 248-858-5000 to register a complaint?

I just got a call from Oakland Police Dept. He is in Jail. The officer didn’t sound like he would be getting out anytime soon.

Hmmm, he was released from the County Jail according to this:

Unless he was released to another jurisdiction, he may have made bail.

I assume you heard from the Oakland County Sheriff, don't think there is an Oakland Police Dept.

Quite possible the Sheriff's Office would be unaware of his release.

Hopefully he was transferred and not just released on bail.

Won't help you get your money back, but nice to think the bad guy got his due.

Did you notice that his last incarceration was for Intent to Pass False Title of a motor vehicle. Max sentence says 3 years, but it looks like he may have been in for more than 4. I sure don't know how the prison system works, but seems to me the only way that would have happened would have been an extension for bad behavior. Would seem he's an all around gem of a guy.

Was the sheriff interested in your story?

Do you plan any follow up with the Sheriff's Office?

Wonder what he was arrested for and whether he is expected to be tried.

I sent $700 to him in February, 2022 to buy a ‘66 Tri-Power intake, ‘64 Tri-Power intake, and one carb. Many phone calls , promises, excuses. but I never received the parts. I have filed a theft report with my local Winnebago county Sheriff’s Dept. They are communicating with the Oakland Sheriff’s Dept. In John Thompson’s district of Clarkston, MI. Scammers like this are dispicable.
