Default Braille Green-Lite Lithium Ion Battery

Has anyone used one of these type batteries and what are your thoughts? I know Prince Jack must have one.

Lil Jack how much does one of those Power Cell 16volt batteries weigh? I'm kicking the idea around of changing over to 16v stuff but I'm actually looking for the HEAVIEST 16v battery.

I think it was right around 9#.

I had a Turbo Start and that only lasted two seasons. My power cell has been working for three problem free years so far.

9!!? Dang it! I think the Optima batteries I'm running are like 37lbs a piece I was hoping to find a 16v that's heavier.

FWIW:Not hack Richard's post but my XS D1600 16v battery weighs 46#'s...
The Lite weight S1600 is stated to be 33#s..but lessor cranking amps than D1600

Will say the D1600 wings my 14.5 CR 505 when starting and all electric componets have more output..Going on thrid season with it....

Why would u want to make a race car heavier?

I know I'm at 2950 right now in a class with a 2800 min weight BUT I'm at 46.1% in the rear......I'm thinkin if I add a bit more weight in back, and take some weight off the front maybe I'll get the car to my desired 48%....I know my car is slow considering who asked the question but I'm more interested in dialing the car than anything right now.Being top dog in mph just won't happen in s/st not in division 5.......
But being able to dial the car does however help equalize the field a bit!and moving weight is one way I plan on attacking it.

A standard turbostart weighs 46lbs. If you need more weight, run two, there is no disadvantage to running two 16v batteries, one will do it if you always have plenty of time to charge between passes other wise the battery is drained after two passes normally.

The right valving in the shocks will help as well, plenty of cars actually want 54% on the nose as it helps keep the front end down, the shock technology is to the point where you don't have to move weight around to aid them.

Thanks! I will keep this in mind! I was thinking 2. Of the heavy 16v plus a jri or Penske shock change. Lol a fella I know of in Oklahoma offered me a pair of penske's for the rear but I couldn't help but laugh when I heard the price .......but absolutey I'd run a pair of those batteries! Just trying to figure out this car thang. The motor is what it is just trying to work on the other 1000 things with throttle stop racing......really and sincerely thanks for your input.I really thought for a split sec I was gona be able to bring a NHRA championship home to the PY guys this year! :-/. But always gota try to stay ahead right!????
