Had to check the oil pressure today since @hwystar455 mentioned it, 65 psi as she runs on the stand. I’m really thinking about just doing a cam, lifters, springs, etc & running it. Just drop the pan like mentioned above, perform some simple quick checks & go for it, it seems to run really good.

Definitely a cam and lifters and of course a timing chain set.

Usually around 50k miles the cam has a lobe or two going flat.

Stick the tried and true 068 (Mellings SPC-7) in there and make it easy on yourself, no changes or upgrades needed to run it.

A new cam will make it perform almost like new again.

That’s what I’m thinking as well, new timing set & 068/Mellings SPC-7 with the quadrajet & she should run pretty good
