Wire Routing Clips?
It's awesome Ames has these but it adds up fast for 6 of them.
Anyone know of a less expensive (ie parts store) functional equivalent? Mike |

Woops, sorry about that... I uploaded last night and today they are gone because I hadn't submitted the post. Noted.

You could check if https://www.clipsandfasteners.com has something that would work.

Thanks Stuart
They have these that are inexpensive and might work. I'll have to check clearance above the clip mounting hole: It also appears late sixties Mustangs had something similar and are likely to cost less than Pontiac parts. AMK has at least one version but they want $30 minimum and shipping costs are significant. I'll try to find something like these at a local parts store. Mike |

Zip ties with christmas tree molded on. Probably find similar at the parts store.

You could also try some of the weatherstrip manufacturers, like Steele Rubber or Metro Moulded Parts - I believe they carry a number of universal style clips as well.

Thanks for the ideas!
I ran into O'Reilly's and they had nothing in stock nor easy for them to find. I will look at their web site as they can get stuff very fast and don't charge me shipping. The zip-tie with a tree deal looks easy and cheap. Both good things so I'll look for those. I can get the round one through eBay for a reasonable price too. It is an Auveco part #14531 (1/2") or 14533 (3/4"). I have to look at clearance above the holes in the radiator support before I go for this option. I'm still trying to find prices and options for those 67 Mustang clips. They are really close to the Pontiac parts. |

I used black zip ties on mine - not the prettiest, but not really noticeable either.

Thanks to you both. Turns out these are in stock at O'Reilly's: I found a used hood release rod at Desert Valley Auto. I'll ask if they also have the "correct" clips used. If not, I'll go with these push-ties! Great to have your help. Mike |

The push-in clips worked fine. Thanks again for the ideas.
I actually had 2 originals still intact but they don't hold the wire any better than the zip-ties. Onward Mike |
