Default Hemmings Musclepalooza Maple Grove - Anyone Go?

Had planned to test and tune but the weather is not ideal, windy, cold and a chance of rain. Also considered spectating but the entry fee is a little steep if it was a bust. So I stayed home...

Curious if anyone went and if it was worth it.

FWIW, Island Dragway has 5 nostalgia events every year for a much more reasonable racing entry or spectating fee.

Had planned on it but a 4 hour drive and lousy looking weather made me change my mind. It's too bad...it was always a good show at Lebanon Valley, NY.

I attended, though I have 1969 Oldsmobile 442 convertible, not a Pontiac, for the car show part. It was a cold and blustery day! Was only an hour ride for me so I took a chance with the weather, but glad I did. First time at this track, kinks will need to be worked out, but overall a lot of fun! Hopefully they will be back and the show will grow, especially with better weather. There were quite a number of racers though and some fast cars! Lots of BOP cars in the show too, especially Firebirds and GTO's. A nice Can Am was next to me and another 442 on the other side. See a couple pics attached.

Hemmings also posted a video as well, check it out

tva442 Not to worry about your Olds. Musclepalooza is for all musclecars. When the show was held at Lebanon Valley it was always packed. If you didn't show up by 10:30 or 11:00 you might have been turned away. There was always lots of racing too.

Oh I know, just posting on a Pontiac forum I have not been to Lebanon though have seen the coverage and looked fantastic. I did go the one year they had it at Englishtown NJ in 2009 and that had more cars than here, but weather was a big factor this year.

I also went to the 2009 Englishtown show. It was awesome watching the races.
I was surprised when they had a small picture of my car in the following magazine. There were a lot of nice muscle cars there.

Hemmings also put pics of my 67GTO in their magazine a couple times at Musclepalooza. They really liked the fact that I was running the car and beating it like it was meant to be back in the day. I think I've run it at that track 39 times....best was 14.38@98.11, only a 350 HO and about 3900lbs with driver. Then they stopped doing Musclepalooza at Lebanon Valley.
