Default Bucket seat track relocation brackets, for more leg room

Anybody ever install the "seat extensions" that push the seat back a couple of inches? My son is over 6'4" and very leggy. I can see when he's driving that he's pretty tight in there. I'm 6'2" and have never felt cramped. But I thought that I would at least explore the option for the poor kid.
If it's some cheap crap or if it affects the integrity of the seat and everything, then I don't want anything to do with it. But if it does work , let me know.
