Luxury Lemans with a factory GTO front end.My brother wants me to find him a pontiac and a friend of my has this car.Doesn't the LL have different trim that would look, well, funny on that front end.He sent my brother some pics and if he likes it i'm going to send in for the PHS.I have seen a 4 door and wagons with the T-41 option, just not a Luxury Lemans!

I would like to see it as well! Factory didn't produce any as far as I know, so someone must have put the clip on it? I had one years ago that I put '71 GTO front clip on.

The factory built Luxury LeMans' with a lower body side molding that absolutely would not go with the T41 Endura Styling option's front fenders. The fenders featured the extractor vents that are right where the side molding goes. The side molding is also tied into the fender skirts that were standard on the LL.

The car could be a LeMans Sport, which could have gotten the T41 option.

Here is a picture that shows the trim. I don't put the skirts on the car. I really dislike the way they look.

Lyn,

I'd love to see those '72 Luxury LeMans' you own if you have any pics.

Well i seen some pics today and the car is in primer.I couldn't see any hole for the trim down the sides but it did have the trim along the trunk lid.I might just send in for the PHS.

Nice car! I see that my car is missing a strip of trim on the side, from front to back.

This post goes back a bit, but a friend of mine bought a '72 Luxury Lemans brand new (that he still has) with what I believe to be the GTO front end. I've attached a picture of it for your reference - it was taken only two years ago. My friend is currently doing a mild restoration to his car.

We need to see a build sheet or PHS. Not saying it couldn't happen but I haven't seen a documented one yet. I guess this is my chance? Would possibly be one of one!

Im 90% sure LLM didnt get the Endura option from factory, and never seen any back in day. The chrome strips would clash with the Endura, so most likely not a stock set up.

I've asked my friend if he still has his original window sticker and/or build sheet. I'm hoping he will respond and send me a copy of either or both. It will be interesting to see it if he does respond. We'll see what happens.

Well, I made a mistake. My friend got back to me and he doesn't have a Luxury Lemans. What he has is a '72 Lemans with the GT option. So, as of now we still don't have a Luxury Lemans with a GTO front end. Sorry for the false alarm!
