I dont understand and have not for the past 3 years WHY,IF your going to Norwalk anyway AND the car can be made to fit why one would not race it.It cost $50 friggin dollars and half of that goes back to the racers!I know some guys who know they cant win play to support the race.Maybe, just maybe we get a 16 car field this year.Just look at what that nasty 68 DR,one carb mid size engine car has done the last 3 years. No where near a ideal combo BUT it just finds ways to take home the cash.Tom

this commercial is a fitting analogy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhqqAUh1VPU

So your bothered because because a "non pro" will bring their non class built ride, that was built for fun of sport to Norwalk, line up and have the possibility to leave you in your wheel chair watching the tail lights!
Isn't that the whole purpose of run what you brung?

I am in no way bitching about the rules of the race, like I said Tom deserves alot of credit for getting it done.

... ok, if you had run your E-Head combo on "motor" before the blower, and also ran the CV-1 combo on "motor", before the blower, then i would have mentioned you and your 69' bird, but unless i am wrong, i wasn't aware you had done that test like Robin did, as the basis of this CV-1 discussion, is N/A ... yes ???? ... so you wanna tell me how that applies to your 69' bird ??? ... the point of my statement, that one of our biggest gains from a "before & after" n/a comparison, was on a N2O car, not a "Max Effort" N/A combo, Brian ...

Brian certainly should be getting his props. He was one of the first CV poweradder combos, along with Robin. IIRC, 8.30's @ 3500# like 2 or 3 yrs ago? I'm looking forward to when you can get out and play with that beast some more. Good luck!

Well Bill, this is what you said...

I based my response on that phrase. The only time I ran that car NA was when it first came out and that was to ensure that the chassis was working correctly. I couldn't tune the car properly NA because of the blow-thru carb.

Thanks Bryan. If I get through the financial side of my divorce this year...I might be out at the end of the year, but I doubt it. I should be out next year if the world doesn't end in December. LOL

... no sweat, i could've been more clear on the basis of my statement i guess, i just assumed everyone was up to speed on the context from which we were debating from ...
... but, to clarify, your car flies, i think you'd agree , yes ?? and yes, you got a very nice gain over your previous combo , i'm sure once you get your bugs worked out, that thing is gonna really fly even better ...

Why do you put .... At the beginning and end of your "sentences"? Do you not knoww how to form proper sentence structure?

... well, if you must know, because it makes it look like its me talking to you directly, as if i'm speaking it to your face, and not typing it, Jack ... if i was you, i'd focus more on your spelling, then my diction ...

... and for your next dumbazz question ...

""" diction "" .... Choice and use of words in speech or writing. Degree of clarity and distinctness of pronunciation in speech ....

... anything else you'd like me to clarify ? ...

this same ole bs reminds me of a old 45 record with a scratch in it, playing the same notes over and over.
