power flow fan switch
Anyone know where I can get one of these? It is the switch for the Power Flow Through Ventilation option on a 1970 GTO, but I'd bet it was used on other Pontiac and GM vehicles. Unlike the momentary on convertible top switch, this switch remains in high or low position,

It will have to be from a 69 or 70 Pontiac rear defog switch.
And you would have to transfer your rocker over to the donor defog switch. Or could use a hidden aftermarket toggle switch somewhere and leave the original switch in place for looks. |

if you want that switch to last forever add a relay and use the switch for "pilot duty"

The Parts Place calls it a "Power Vent Air High and Low Dash Switch" (PN EL1017Z) and sells it for $65. But they don't have any in stock because they are all bought up by EBay a**holes who then sell them for $84. The EBay listing is still active even though the EBay vendor has NO switches. The Parts Place has no idea when they will have some to sell.
Bottom line, I disassembled the old switch, cleaned all the contacts and re-attached everything with epoxy. It should last forever now. Thanks again to the forum. |
