Default I'm signing on here

New to this area of the PY forums.

I'm picking up a 1970 Gp next Saturday (8/17/13). Motor is shot, according to the current owner. It needs a trunk pan. Trunk pan is way worse than my 64 Gp was. It's a basic one J?, with a WH engine with #13 heads. I've already agreed to buy it and given a deposit. The color and paint are not the best, but what the hell, only gonna live once.

I've got a 455 and most of what I need, including some 4X heads, SRP pistons, roller rockers (1.6), Summit 2802 cam and hope to have it on the road shortly. The current owners have kept it on non-op status, thankfully.

Hope ya like it,
Greg

Have you PHS'd this one? Wondering at the OE paint color. It almost looks like Sundance Orange under the seal.

Default PHS

Mike,
I haven't requested the PHS since I already bought the car and it has a XH engine with # 13 heads, I figured it probably was original. I figured it was worth what I paid anyway. PHS wants $65 these days.

Maybe we can decode it all from the data plate.

Lucky to get both my 64 and now this Gp from the original owners. In this case (the '70) the kid that drove it is now the owner and about the same age as I am.

Take care,
Greg

Here`s my `70 J that now has a `70 455 HO in it. Still needs to have the bodywork done, and my dream is to make it a 4 speed. I have the manual console, but need to find the 4 speed set up yet. Mark

Here are two shots of my 72 J. I took these pics last weekend after I put my new 15x8 w/4.5" backspacing wheels on. Tires are 245/60-15. They replaced the original 14x7 Rally IIs that had mid-90s vintage Eagle ST's. I may cave in and put trim rings on it in the future, but the more muscle car look is what I was after.

Thanks! Many years ago I had the chance to buy a black 71 or 72. It had some dents, and the engine was an Olds 350. I was quite young and didn't know my way around cars then. It was too intimidating, so I passed on the opportunity. I've thought about my missed chance at having my "Ebony and Ivory" many times over the years!

Default put rally's on

Another pic of my low buck driver, this time after I got a set of rally's with trims and non-matching centers for it.

There was a blue, 69, SJ, at the Route 66 show, Saturday in Ontario. Very similar to the one above. Ground up resto and they didn't miss anything, very nice car. It was nice to take a good look at it to see that mine is actually pretty much all there.

Before and after with 14" rallys. OOh, I got the trunk done too. Kept the 14" steel wheels and saucers.

Take care,
Greg

Picture I took yesterday, got a couple friends over to help me take the hood off. Makes it a lot easier to work in the engine compartment.

Stout looking GP, Mr. T!

I pity the foo who would dare to think that it'd be easy to whoop.
