Backing Plates
Anyone have an old rear end lying around or loose, original, correct for 70, grade 8, fine thread bolts that attach the backing plate to the axle tube? I'm in need of several so I can reassemble my rear end. Obviously they can't be all rusted as that's the reason I'm short. Any help is appreciated. I can send/post pics to clarify. I'm posting here because more guys frequent this section than the parts wanted section. Thanks.

what head markings are on the bolts? Refresh my memory, they are an 1" long, 7/8" long?
Have dozens of multi leaf 8.5's, mono leaf 8.5's and nearly a dozen 12 bolt F-bodys in the racks and stacks. nearly all are stored as bare hsgs (lighter that way as the racks are near 7 feet high) Can ck my small parts trays and bins.

Here's a pic. Three different head markings to choose from. Anything up to a set of 8 would help.

I'm in need of nice non-rust pitted backing plates for my 70 TA 12 bolt and my 71 TA 10 bolt.
Regards -Rob

On that style backing plate, have quite a few that have been stacked indoors for last 20 years, unfortunately at this time, just do not have time to disassemble and go through a bunch of loaded backing plates. Need to pull backing plates off my '72 and ' 73's rears and go through a process of elimination, which need replacing, then which in the stack are number 1's.
