Our business is billet. There would have to be an incredible amount of interest for us to entertain the idea of having our designs cast by someone. I do not forsee the amount of interest needed to make the investment of starting a casting operation cost effective.

Irregardless of which "head camp" we are all in, these are a bad a$$ set of heads. Can't wait to see what they do at the track.

1150/398 = 2.8894

Pretty close to 2.9?

And it said it was more than 1150 HP, so it would go more than 2.9 if it was even more than 1150?

And that's all that some people do, race calculators.

Am I the only one that thinks Bill is talking about a different motor?

I mean we have Mike who is calculator challenged

and Lil Jack who is allergic to Math

so I will do this long hand

_400
_2.9
------
3600
800
------
1160 HP

Stan, You might be right, that Mike is calculator challenged, but his car is very fast and he did it without a calculator. Lil Jack might be allergic to math too, but, If I had his car, 65 GTO, which is my all time favorite I might add, and it ran like his does being allergic to math is a good thing. Also if I had Lil Jacks car, I would run over your calculator. Thanks Rusty

Rusty,
That is all true, but has nothing to do with how Bill came up with 2.9 HP per ci which neither can understand and what my post was about.

Good post. But I actually did build it with the use of a calculator....many times both car and engine. I'm not challenged, I just understand how useful some of the data is, an isn't. I guarantee My engine parameters in a calculator doesn't add up. I mean really a port thats less than 3.25 at the choke on a 542 engine that peaks at 7600 carries out to 8100 and makes 2.5 hp per cfm. Ya i have know idea wtf is going on according to the smart guys that are experts at not doing anything real.

BTW Rusty what are you doing with your set up? just curious, if its a secret pm me.

... um, the engine makes more than 1150 ... read the "About" link on the video page, (In excess of) ... so 2.9 is what this engine made ...

... I spoke to the man that did the cylinder heads for this engine, that's how I know, I should've clarified that part, sorry ...
