Good idea.

Q-How many apples can you fit into an empty box?
A-None. If you put any apples in the box,it won't be empty anymore.

You guys are doing great. I like the suggestion of posting the answer when someone solves the riddle. We should also use the honor system and say: "No Google Allowed".

Here's another one:

What do the following words all have in common? Double consonants and vowels is NOT what I'm looking for either. There is a major common trait they all share.

1. Banana
2. Dresser
3. Grammar
4. Potato
5. Revive
6. Uneven
7. Assess

Then you must be looking for palindrome, if you remove the first letter you have a palindrome.

A poor man is sitting in a pub. He sees that the man next to him is extremely rich.
Poor man says I have an amazing talent; I know almost every song that has ever existed. The rich man laughs at him.
Poor man says I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a popular song that includes a lady's name of your choosing. The rich man laughs again.

Rich man then says ok, how about my daughter's name, Joanna Armstrong-Miller?

The poor man goes home rich.

What song did he sing?

I had to look one up,I don't know any offhand-

There is a hardware store sign that reads:
Buy 1 for $1.00
10 for $2.00
100 for $3.00
I needed 913 and still only paid $3.00. How could this be financially viable for the hardware store owner?

Well "captain of iron" didn't say if I was correct or not,so I'll assume I am,unless my math is wrong. Here's mine (should be easy)-
A doctor in Paris has a brother in Toronto who is a lawyer.
The lawyer does not have a brother who is a doctor in Paris.

Question: How is this possible?

Also- The fridge (with no freezer) in my garage is running, and the temp is about 26 degrees in my garage. The temp in the fridge is about 35 degrees. How is this possible?
Actually this is not a riddle,it's a real question!
Sorry, for some reason my phones browser didnt want to let me in this past weekend.

Yes you are right

913 is a house number.

You are paying for the individual numbers.

Therefore 100 would be the same as 913 for $3.00.

What is the only word in the English language that contains 5 consecutive vowels?

Could be an American spelling or a standard spelling, I'm not telling which.

I couldn't answer it without using Google, so I'll defer on this one. Great question though!
