Default 15" Rear tire Sizes

I have a set of 15x7 Rally II wheels . my plan is 235/60-15's up front and either 245/60-15's or 255/60-15's in the rear.

Will I have any clearance issues with the 255's ? do you think they'd look a little too big ?

This is for a stock restoration the wheels and tires are my only deviation from original , I just want it to look nice and not cause problems .

What is the backspacing of your wheels?

They're off a Trans Am, I believe 4 1/4" but I'll measure.

255/60/15's on the back of our '66 Tempest with 7" mid-70s Rally II wheels. No clearance problems at all. We went with 215/70/15 (on 6" rims) on the front, because the diameter and sidewall matched exactly to the 255"s.

looks good, fills the fender but it doesn't look punky.

The picture looks pretty close to the lip at the top, my '66 is a late production with the 61" axle, yours may be the narrower one I'm not sure, do you think you have 1/2 " to spare without hitting if it came to it ?

Absolutely. This car was built in July of 1966 if that helps.
