So let me ask a question........why would someone take his 1/8 mile car to a 1/4 mile track that has a 1/4 mile race and complain about someone not wanting to run an 1/8 mile race. Just asking?
Ok your threads back on track! Your welcome!! Damn I'm still at work!!

Complete outsider perspective and not that my opinion means a hill of beans but you just went from respected enthusiast in my mind to very scarry almost to the point of troll kinda deal in like 10 posts...
That whole "I know where you are" bit is alarming to say the least.

It is entertaining to see how the threats of "skull dragging" and "donkey stomping" have changed to whining about "fancy hardware". Internet bullies always seem to lose their courage when someone actually stands up to them.

Our most recent trip to the dyno was just to try a few things. It's called R & D. We already knew what the motor would do.

I already had the carbs, so that is no big deal. The big single fo is Bill's. He wanted me to try it to get some data on it. No money out of pocket there. I bought the Star vacuum pump set up from a road racing buddy of mine a couple years ago. You wouldn't believe me if I told you how little I paid for it. It's just been sitting in a box in the garage, so I thought I would give it a try. It's very pretty (blue and red) and matches our decorating scheme.

We took a little bit of the money we saved by NOT buying billet heads and bought a better, safer oiling system. Think of it like this: If Jack's motor goes “boom”, he dumps 2 gallons of oil under his tires and gets close and personal with the wall. If my motor goes “boom”, I simply pull the chute and live to race another day. It's a no brainer.

Besides, if it's good enough for Ron Rhodes, it's good enough for me, lol.

Sorry that you are reading a lot into some words that are really saying what you think.
George works for a big company. george posts a lot at around 10:30 in the mornings.
George does have a job at this company so 99% chance that some posts are from work.

George wants to retire after 40+ years of probably excellent service with his company.
Why would you want a guy to get fired for violating company policy with being so close to retirement?

I simply posted be careful on the internet stuff at work.

So ifdsteve, you are out of line, as are others.

One thing to argue about racing and boosting philosophies.

Another to "stand by with your mouth shut when 'the bus could run over the person' and screw up the persons retirement.

Really sad what this board has come to as far as attacking the most simple post by someone.

Lots of "tag along" including some by a guy who I helped and assumed was a friend.

Wallace and his brother were smiling from ear to ear when they first purchased the Turbos from me for their project.
McQueen acquired some special water pumps I had custom made for his project. Yet both of them throw me under the bus, typical Pontiac behavior.

Tom,
What is really sad is you trying to explain to everybody who has read what you posted, and how all of us have misunderstood what you wrote.

Stan

PS - Yes Lil Jack I have derailed this thread again

Never claimed to be perfect like you, Stan and others who script perfect posts every time.

Even what you wrote could be taken two ways; You are agreeing with me that it is sad that everyone has read what I posted and misunderstood my intentions or your post is a clever attack on me.

Not worth worrying about it one way or the other. I know I was trying to keep George out of trouble. That is what matters.

Have a good day Stan.

Basically Tom's doing Michael Jacksons Moon Walk! LOL!!!!!
As for "Thy Race" it will never happen, Jack (or will he) won't run the 1/4 mile and it's too bad I think it will be a heck of a race!

Tom,
Why would I or anyone else here have any reason for wanting to attack you? I mean you are just "Mister Nice Guy". Aren't you?

Don't think for a min that I don't appreciate any and all that have helped me over the last few years. Could not have done it without this forum.
However, I have been in public safety for 30+ years and when someone appears to claim to be able to ferret out the occupation or possibly the location of someone's daughter to try to win an argument, it not only sets off very loud alarms but quite frankly makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up having a daughter myself.
I also have learned not to "poke" the bear so I will kindly thank you sir for all your help and move along, occasionally looking back over my shoulder.
Good luck at the races boys and stay safe!
Steve

(not for this thread anyway)

I did nothing disparaging in this thread toward you.

I see that you made the last post on this thread at 10:34 today.
Big Companies do not like Company Employees using Company Resources on personal internet websites. My company says that it is immediate grounds for dismissal (no matter how many years in the company). So I would be careful on that deal.

I never post to PY or any other website on Work Time or Work Computers as that is a gross violation of company policy.

You may be retiring a lot sooner and with a lot less pay if they do a search and find out you have been violating company policy for years.
Basically you get the years (before the company violations started). And You have been posting for a long time (if you do a search on PY) around this time period.

So be careful out there George. Just saying. We have fired people at our company for that deal, simple as it seems.

If you know every one's company policies, perhaps look into yours on behavior on writing on forums, etc?

I think we're all old enough to manage our own lives without you telling us how to do it?
