Default Engine harnness question?

I’m replacing the engine harness in my 1970 GTO. I matched up all the wires with my original harness, but found one new wire that wasn’t on the original. It appears to be a black ground wire (I may be wrong). One end of the wire is near where you press in and screw the junction into the wirewall below the horn relay. The other end of the wire comes out where the two starter motor wires are. Can anyone tell me where this wire goes? I’ve looked at manuals and schematics and can’t find anything. I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JP
