No hits on this one, so I'll try re-posting: Does anybody know where to get Lee 2-Stage Maxifilters (oil filters) these days? Once upon a time about 9 yrs ago I took the advice of H-O Racing Specialties and plugged-off the oil filter bypass in the filter housing when I rebuilt my '67 400 to allow use of Lee 2-Stage Oil Filters. After all these years I'm now actually running the car, but can't seem to find any of these filters. Did Lee go out of business, does anybody else make similar filters for Ponchos? - Jon

I haven't seen Lee filter's for a long time, I used to use them myself. Your best bet is to use the Frame HP series, their a 2 stage filter, don't know the number off hand, but you can tell them apart by looking at the top, they have bigger holes.

JonnyP, Lee Maxi filters are made by Champion Laboratories. Other brand names include Lee, Champ and STP. Contact their representatives at http://www.champlabs.com/ to find out where you can buy them.

I went to that web page and got a response from their tech line. They referred to a number that I called, 800-882-0890. The only two-stage filter they make is a heavy duty one for trucks, which is about 18" long. There is nothing available compatible with the old two stage Lee Maxi filter.
