Default 71 455 HO non-ram air air cleaner question

My HO GTO is a non-ram air, numbers matching car but is missing the original air cleaner. Does anyone have pictures of an original? I have seen a couple of pictures from the top on a GT37 but they don't show the bottom which I think is where they are different than a regular dual snorkel air cleaner. If anyone knows where I can find an original that would be great too. Thanks.

Passenger side snorkel has a heat riser connection, it's the same visually as the one on the driver's side snorkel.

Would it pass the sniff test? Thanks Dave

I just picked up a 71/72 shaker air cleaner that I'm going to use for the time being, I'll just knock off the little ears that hold the scoop on and use a larger lid.

I know it's got the deep dish on it, but until I find a correct one....

Thanks for the picture. Any chance of getting one of the underside when you get a chance?

Shouldn't even have one on an HO T-37 or GT-37 or LeMans.

... and the spacing between the snorkels is different than '70-72 A-body & there's a big recess in the back of the early 2nd Gen dual snorkels.

Question
So the 455 HO air cleaner base has two heat risers and is there any other difference from say a 69 dual snorkel unit? Is base lower?
I ask because I have a few of these and never really took a close look at them etc. I will never need them as my cars are 69 ram air. I will dig them out over the next couple of days and check what they look like. Probably just plain dual units but never know.
I learned something new today.

'69 GTO aircleaner bases are different. Wider spread between the snorkels. The '69's also, nearly always have the snorkels with the ribs stamped in the,

The only difference between the standard 71-72 GTO and 455HO dual snorkel air cleaners is exactly what OPH said, that there is a ring on the bottom of the HO air cleaner passenger side snorkel for the hose to connect to (just like on the bottom of the driver's side). The thermacs are complete on both snorkels for both the standard and HO air cleaners. All you need to do is get one of those rings off of another air cleaner (they used that same ring on all sorts of air cleaners for various GM cars and years), cut the hole and tack weld it on. That is exactly what the factory did. Cutting snorkels off other decent air cleaners (and re-orienting the thremac), modifying/destroying rare and expensive TA air cleaners, or holding out for a hen's tooth is overkill.

Maybe we could get someone like Norwood to repop that ring ;>)
