Default 68 Rear Bumper Gaps

What is the acceptable gaps for this fit? Is it the best one can get? I am getting ready for body work and fitting all the panels including original rear bumper which took a lot of work to get straight, but was solid.

That looks pretty good to me... probably better than mine.

Thanks Greg. With the bumper stops it’s hard to get that vertical to close. I like how well it fits the lid and quarter extensions. At least I know the bumper is ready to get chromed now. Just need the body work around it.

Here is a picture of the rear bumper of my 68 GTO. We took the bumper stops off just to see what it looked like and I left them off. It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with it.

The bumper stops gave me struggles too. I moved them inboard quite a bit. I was so thrilled to find them in a junkyard that I did not want to leave them off...lol
