Default 70 gto 10 bolt

Hi guys planning to swap my 10 bolt rear for a 12 bolt rear car is a turbo 400 will the driveshaft be the correct length?

Yes, however you'll need a 3R to 1310 conversion u-joint.

X2. I just did this for my brother's car.

No, not true, the original 12 bolts used in the '70 GTO's are direct bolt in, a have pinion flange that accepts 3R ujoint. Same deal with many other McKinnon built 68-72 12 bolts.

No issues with u-joint using a 1970-72 Pontiac (McKinnon) 12-bolt rearend.
Also some trimming of one upper arm at the rear bolt hole will be necessary.
