Default Somemore pic of my 68 Convertible.

Here is somemore pictures of the 68 Pontiac Tempest Convertible I am restoring for a customer.
It is almost finished. Needs the top installed and I had the top windshield trim out being polished when I took these pictures. It will also have wheel opening moldings.
Hope to have the top on in a few weeks. And send it home.
Hope you like it!

Very nice! It's amazing how much better the car looks with those two little hood scoops! Glad he or you didn't clone it - I was going to clone my LeMans but decided against it...

Thanks for the comments. We didnt want to clone it. He just wanted to make it his own. With the GTO hood and the 69 rear spoiler. I dont think we are going to put the emblems back on since it is a little bit of everything.
Thought about making some decals for it. And calling it Tempted! Making them the same way the GTO are. What would you all think?

That might work...

Very nice. I like the color a lot...and the GTO tail lights as well as the scoops, although, I think the scoops might look better body color. No biggie though, I'd be VERY pleased with that car.
What's the story on the bumpers? New repros or re-chromed originals?

They are both original bumpers. I had them re-chromed at a shop up in Indy.

But! Like the old saying goes. You get what you pay for!
They done them for $450.oo each. The chrome finish is really good. But the way they or whoever did the straighting on them. Ground on them to much and made them wavy. You cant really see it in the pictures. The front bumper is not bad. But! It was not in ruff shape when they started on it. The rear is more flat and it shows up a lot more.
I showed it to John (customer, owner) he said that they were fine. So there they are.

I checked with Advanced plating in Nashville TN. They wanted $1500.oo just to do the front. And $1000.oo for the back.

The shop up in Indy done the bumpers, vent post, vent frames, quarter window trim, sun-visor brackets, and the convertible top latches all for $1400.oo
And all the small stuff turned out great.
So! Like I said. We got what we payed for!

I love the GTO hood and Judge rear spoiler, but you knew that (check out my pics!). I think the LeMans and even PONTIAC lettering looks better on than not; it looks blank or missing without it. JMO. "Temted" is cool, though. Fun.

Oh, and I like the LeMans tail lights better than the GTO lenses personally. Again, JMHO. Car really looks good overall.
