Why would this officer deserve PAID administrative leave?
http://www.kold.com/story/16306398/m...XVync.facebook
WTF if I was to get a DUI on a suspended license I would not have a job and no income, but the officer gets PAID administrative leave. I also thought this link showed another officer drunk on power who should have his badge stripped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=khBMoZdwEmc It is Police like these that give all the good officers bad names and magnifies negative opinions of the badge.

Union rules for public servants negotiated into the contract. You can never just get rid of someone for failing like you can in the non-union private sector

Even in the Union private sector you would be gone if you could not do your job. I have seen many Union drivers let go because of a DUI and the Teamsters can not do anything. This is gross negligence by the city council to allow something like that to be negotiated into the contract.
