Default Don't hunt a Grizzley with a Harley

These pictures just got emailed to me and I believe the accident happened last spring or early summer. I know that area has a lot of wildlife as me and a buddy was riding outside of Hamilton, MT and he hit a deer in front of me at 90mph. He lived, but he had a long recovery road ahead of him.

I would've liked to see the expression on the bikers face just before impact!!

Can you believe a motorcycle killed this HUGE GRIZZLY?
This grizzly was hit by a Harley on Lolo Pass. This is the pass between Lolo, MT and Kooskia, ID.
Lolo Pass, elevation 5,233 feet (1,595 m), is a mountain pass in the northern Rocky Mountains on the border between the U.S. states of Montana and Idaho approximately 25 miles (40 km) west-southwest of Missoula, Montana.
It is famous as the location where the Lewis and Clark Expedition crossed the summit of the Bitteroot Range via the Lolo Trail on their outward and return journeys in 1805–06.
Look at the
claws on that sucker!

The biker spent three days in the hospital! The hog's a wreck!
Lesson learned: Don't go Bear Hunting with a Harley, they don't last but one hunt!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I started looking I found a story that it was hit by a 1 ton truck with Harley Trim. I know that a motorcycle hit a bear over there in the spring and the bear was killed, but the biker was ok.

Man that is crazy. Either that was one big grizzley or the bison was young.

Here are those pictures of a grizzly bear chasing a bison in Yellowstone National Park.

I can't believe the guy that took these pictures stepped out of his car on the road to take them.

I've seen Griz up here 7 or 8 foot tall, 6 to 700 pounds and I would not mess with one. They can run faster than you ever could even think to. Your only hope is running downhill, the geometry of their bodies slows them down a little bit going down hill, but it probably would not help much. They are king of the effin woods and that is all there is to it. I won't camp up here because I couldn't sleep at night knowing they are out there. Every couple of years a hiker is ate by one it seems. I am 50 minutes from Glacier Park and they are all over this area. Baddest MoFo around, period. Pound for pound, bear vs man, a bear is 3 times as strong as a person meaning a 200 pound bear is 3 times as strong as a 200 pound man, so do the math on a 700 pound one. Rip you to shreds in nuthin' flat. Yes, those claws. They have no predator bigger than them, so they are fearless. I love them and really hate them. They are a true thing of beauty in a very savage way. Even CobraBill would have trouble with one.

Been around a few grizz in my day. When they have there adrenalin up like the one chasing the bison they are fearless and unpredictable idiots. Got a grizz on video that had to be put down. He was trying too run down a mother and cubs. They will kill cubs in the spring and are a territorial animal. The less food the meaner they are. They are one bad Mutha. I love seeing them and know they were here first.

the bear stood up only 35 yards away. The bear dropped down and charged straight for the airman. He unloaded his gun and the bear fell 10 yards from him.

AND NOW THE REST OF THE STORY...

the airman is still cleaning the crap out of his undies, and is expected to recover fully from his near fatal heart attack..lol
