I have just about reached the point
when I will be drilling the holes in
my trunk lid for the rear wing on my
70 gto. Am I correct that I just drill
where the four holes are already
stamped in the inner skin of the lid?
Thanks

Yes, I have a link at the office to a diagram that gives the actual dimensions. I'll post it tomorrow.

wt7 those holes in the under brace stamping are left over from 1969 don't use those as any sort of a guide for your 1970 wing!

Gordon, what color is your judge? Mine is
polar white, and I am going to use the red/
yellow/black stripes. I hope to finish the
bodywork this year and send it out to a good
bodyshop to be painted soon after that. Thank
you in advance for the measurments.

wt7 all measurements are from top side here goes
17.75 top to first hole. 5.5 outside edge to first hole. 11.5 bottom edge of lid to second hole
on left side. all measurements on center of holes. holes are 9/32 i bet all wings have different stud centers so be carefull and use this as a rough guide. hope this helps if not email me .Gord

Hey Norton,
Thanks for the info, I have seen white
judges at car shows with red/black/yellow, blue/
pink/orange, and even the green/yellow/?, which
was really ugly. I like the red/black/yellow
the best so that is what I plan on using. In
the promo pictures for the 70 it uses red/black/
yellow. For this reason I thought this was the
somewhat official colors for the polar white cars.
No?
