I've got that poster in my garage. Getting pretty rough though.

I remember the first time I ran across another Pontiac at the light because the guy actually yelled over to me and said what are the odds of two Pontiacs pulling up to a light now days? He had a 68 GTO and I was in my 69 Firebird. We had both cars sideways when the light turned green and we actually ended up becoming good friends.

He was the guy that turned me on to street racing out in Flint. Those were some of the best times I've ever had in my life.

When I ran that 70 Camaro the other night I could tell how happy the guy was to have his car back out and I know the only reason he had it out was to race me. He didn't care if he won or lost but winning was the icing on the cake.

P.S. He had his slicks mounted on Pontiac rims and I wouldn't be surprised if that 400 he mentioned under the hood was in fact a Pontiac motor. Happy birthday to my Pontiac brother.

I hope you got some spray Chris. I've got a funny feeling the other two guys I ran that night might have sprayed me. I can't use what I don't have and I know they both had it.

I'd probably say the Nova was on the spray for sure. There's no way his motor was pushing that much HP and there wasn't any catching him.

I've ran to many other Chevy's not to know better.

A wise man would have kept it at half a car but we're not always wise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SSDZHZHYvM

Cool story!

I actually had that encounter twice this summer. First I was at a light in town when a 74 green GTO pulled up beside me. We chatted before the light turned green.

The second time was a white on red 76 T/A. He told me it was all original with something like 70k miles on it.

I was in my 71 T/A both times.
