No, but built an engine for marauder and held the engine for A MONTH waitng on covers He wanted to use. Even promises of they will be sent next week. Then the next week and then.......... This was over a years ago.
Glad I decided to just let it go and use spacers or It still would be in my shop waiting. Mark might be a nice guy. Have talked to and met in person. But business is business. Yes I get behind...........we all do. but there is a point of no return.

Must just be me?????????????????
Worth the wait with ALL the issues stated on this topic????????????????
I just don't understand the Ok to wait for months or a year for one product prepaid, etc and the next post or posts elsewhere hammer the crap out of another vendor or person because they had to wait a short time for an item ???????

3 Pages of Issues !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Ken you have to admit that this is a common situation for someone who is trying to hold down an 8-5 and start-up a new business that took off like Mark's. He does have an excellent looking product. Real easy at first to keep up, extra money is great and gets spent fast because the orders are pouring in. Then you hit the wall, not enough hours in the day and even if there were you're beat. Then the home stuff you've been neglecting because of the extra work catches up and you start spending the money you didn't earn yet and then you're toast. Now you have a deep hole to crawl out of with no $$ at the end of it cause you spent it.

Same as the meticulous, but mis-managed engine builder or body shop that that needs your work to get the money to complete a current project.

I think the saying goes "he may of bite off more than he can chew". Lets hope once Mark catches up he can put a plan in place to move forward. From what I've seen they are a work of art and I should have ordered 1 day 1 and would have gotten them right away like the rest of the initial orders. Now I'm leery and the price will probably skyrocket.

Come on, get real. It was just plain wrong to demand payment in full and promise to ship within two weeks when orders were stacked up for months or even a year or more. This is not understandable, not at all.

I recieved mine finally after 11 months. They are beautifully built and are worth every penny. I have a camera issue right now but hope to post pics soon

I will extend thanks to a couple of guys here for helping out, I will not reveal their identities but again thanks

Mark if you are reading thanks for coming through but get those others completed as fast as you can. As a former business owner some free advice.

1) Charge what the market will bear. If you have a line up, charge more and if you have no work offer discounts
2) If you can't make a deadline, call the customer and let him know, don't make him ask

3) Do not give false expectations

4) Deal with integrity

5) do deliver the best quality you can.

6) listen to your customer

If you do all those you just might have a sucessful business, if you ignore them especially number 6 you will fail, period
Thats it for the sermon. Good Luck

You know,Mark, You called and ask if we could help you out. You needed money to pay past do bills and offer us 5 sets of valve covers. You needed the loan bad. So we steped up to the plate and gave you what you needed so you could make the past do orders.. and ours. Well guess what? No returned calls. No return e-mails. And we don't have a clue if you are a live or dead.

Thanks Mark, you left me no way but to ask you here, where are my valve covers?
