Well I couldnt talk my friend out of his 455, he wants to build it himself (and he has never done this). It was a running engine but I dont know how long it's been sitting. Looking for a few ideas for a budget build for him. I did a search and printed a couple. I can give him a Performer intake. At least he is a Chevy man converting to Pontiac! He is not looking for a "race" engine. What would be the best way to put this together on a family budget? He wanted to put it in his truck but I think I can talk him into getting an older Bird.

4000 521.2 396.9
4100 522.6 408
4200 522 417.4
4300 523 428.2
4400 523.7 438.7
4500 519.5 445.1
4600 512.7 449.1
4700 504.8 451.7
4800 497.1 454.4
4900 490.3 457.4
5000 486.2 462.9
5100 483.3 469.3
5200 479.9 475.2
5300 473.5 477.9
5400 465 478.1
5500 454.9 476.4

BSFC at peak torque was .42, pretty effecient for old metal All test were done at 75deg with a 300rpm/sec accelaration rate. 91 OCtane pump fuel was used. Total timing 35deg.
