coming off the vacuum block from rar of carb, there is a line that runs thru the firewall i assume into the cab, what is it for, does it help the heater or A/C somehow, thanks.

That is the vacuum source for the vacuum actuators that control ventilation distribution inside the car.

In easier terms, when you switch from one vent position to the next on the controls, the vacuum is what opens the doors that the air will come out of. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

It goes to the heater controls. But if you are curious about it why wouldnt you just look for yourself?
