I'll have to check but I have a 65 389 in my firebird that's getting replaced soon. Where are you located and like M_C what date range?

I'm out side of Philly. Dec 64 or early Jan 65. date. Needs to be a WS.

Someone back in the day must have made one good GTO out of two 65's. It had red fenders vs the burgundy the car is. Had a 65 WT (4 bbl) engine cast 6 months after the car was built. No trans and a previous exploded differential that had 4.33's in it... so someone had some fun busting parts...

I'm out of town until mid week but once back I'll have a look. I'm thinking mine is a later date but can't remember for sure.

Sadly my engine is a YE and I couldn't get the date codes. The front of the block is showing 668545
