I was stationed in Germany when I was in the Army in the late 90's. Took a German girl to see Saving Private Ryan at the theater on base. After the movie, she was kinda cranky. I asked her why. She said, "the movie makes it seem like the American soldiers are so good and the German soldiers are so stupid."

I looked at her and said, "Hey, sweetheart, why do you think I'm stationed over here instead of the other way around?"
