It’s a 1966 GTO Tube chassis
Weighs 2800 with me in it with aluminum block
535 made 887 at 7000 RPM( 905) with correct vaccum
4.56 rear gears and a TH400 with 2.48,first
60 ft is 1.28ish

Should do 8.70 in good air.

Car used to be owned by my uncle known on PY as greaserdegreaser

I love the look and finish on your car! Just curious on what tire size you have on it. With a 4:56 gear you may be turning A LOT of rpm's at the big end especially if you think it's going to run 8.70's. That would be in the 155ish MPH range.

You might want to think about 4.33 or 4.11 gears

I run a 33" tall tire and 4:33 gears. At 154 MPH I'm at around 7700 RPM's. Partially depends on how tight your convertor is. I don't think a little less gear will hurt you as light as your car is.

I ran a 9.27 at 147 this weekend, only got to make one pass as I found something in my oil filter I didn’t like, it turned out to be just debris from when I had my valley pan and oil filter resealed after the dyno session.

I definitely need some work on the chassis, with a lot more torque and Hp this go round I was bouncing off the line, just wasn’t a pretty launch.

I agree. I like a Glide with a 1.8 first and a 4.33 out back. I bet it nearly came off the ground on the hit with that 2.48 first ...lol.
