Default 1970 455 Ram Air GTO Convertible @ Mecum Kissme 2023

These are incredibly rare cars that we don't see often, especially the Convertibles.
Much rarer than the ad claims.
Red , Red , Black Top

https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0123-54...o-convertible/

A little irony to observe -
There were 241 of the 455 GTO Convertibles built with Automatic ,
but that doesn't break down how few of those had Ram Air Induction.

There were also 241 455 Ram Air GTO's (Hardtop & Convertible total) built with Automatic ,
but that doesn't break down into just Convertibles.

So the car is even Rarer than 1 of 241
At one time we were tracking these cars on here for a while.
Seems like we had about 10-12 Automatic Verts documented , and 2 with 4spd.
and 1 Judge Convertible with Automatic - of the 3 built.

These cars usually pull a pretty decent amount of coin , but not astronomical.
About on par with Ram3 GTO prices.

No they didn't get the big RA exh manifolds , just regular logs.
Most everyone upgrades them to RA exh manifolds when they get the chance.

They got the RA Induction System and RA Carburetor
The 455 HO package brought in good cylinder heads, 4bolt mains, and 12bolt rear.
Good stuff

With exhaust manifold swap or headers, its like a Ram3 with 55 extra cubic inches.
Was a smart buy back then, for the money. (in the D-port arena)

Great looking car. Interesting that it seems to have a tail up rake on the right side, but a level attitude on the left side.
