I spent a couple summers in Wentzville building prototype van bodies down the assembly line. I had to write quite a bit of information on the firewalls in order to keep them straight, because the special parts were introduced several job stations before the Primary Vehicle Indicator/Build sequence numbers were established. I'd like to be a fly on the wall if/when somebody ever tries to figure those out. K

Thanks, Interesting book. For the Firebird 400/4bbl it indicates a 40838 pump. Likely the same for a Lemans.

Great story
Wow! Hind site is 20-20. I wish I would have bought a pile of cars that crossed my path....
Why did you blank out some of the VIN sheet? Do people copy them?

Great story. I wish that I would have bought a few cars that came my way. Hindsight is 20-20. Why are some of the vin sheet cells covered? Do people misuse the info?

Any chance someone has a parts catalogue that covers the 71 Lemans? Any chance I can get someone to look up the fuel pump number for a 400/4bbl/YS? Thanks.
