I’ve closely followed the 71 GTO std 455 convertibles over the past 30 years and owned one. I‘ve only seen 3 or 4 others in that time. The nicest was a restored quezal gold car with sienna interior and factory judge stripes that was restored and resided in Texas back in the 90’s. At least 3, including mine, had front shoulder belts and most were decently optioned.

I’ve also kept a close eye on the 71-2 Lemans 455 convertibles and have only seen a handful of those cars.

Their claimed number was 91
Apparently someone added the 455cid and 455HO together and came up with that 91 number
43 + 48 = 91

It was a beauty
Castle Bronze, Sienna interior , White Top
Sold for around $140,000
Castillian Bronze... Looked very sharp on the Mecum auction pages.
Typically in '71, Sienna interiors are paired with Canyon Copper exteriors

Back to the '71 455 Dport GTO convert which just sold @ Kissimee.
Most likely the most ever paid for ANY 1971 Pontiac factory painted this color.
In the big list, do not have any '71 Judges this color.

I have three 72 Lemans Sport convertibles:
- Lucy Blue 72 Lemans T-41 convertible w/ 350 auto.
- Lucy Blue 72 Lemans T-41 convertible with factory 455HO 4-spd.
- Orange 72 Lemans T-41 convertible. Originally 350 TH350, now 455 TH400.

Seems like that car was featured somewhere before in past , online or in print.
Or maybe the previous owner was a member here.
Could also have been presented at an auction years ago and failed reserve.
But the visual and the back-story keeps sticking out as familiar.

One of the 71 Vert. Judges was that color (1 of 17). Also know of a HT Judge in that color.

Surprised that 4 different colors of the 71 Jverts had Sienna Interior.
Aztec, Black, Canyon, Castle
