Since I now have the complete 56 engine and trans, will the left exhaust manifold be an issue? or will I need to install my 55 manifold?

Use the 56 manifolds, the exhaust ports are larger on the 56.

if you lay them side by side you'll see the difference.

They dump in the same location ahead of the steering box. Good luck

Thanks, glad I won't have any issues. In the past on all my cars I ran stock exhaust manifolds I just would gasket match them to flow better, or at least in my mind.
