NICE color combo, this auction is strange..no reserve and not near enough description for such a rare car... column shift for a ram air iv? can't see any gauges or tach..matching #'s? all in all just strange but wow rare car indeed!

Why would it have a regular air cleaner on it? Seller notes it needs a Ram Air set up.

Good points Forrest - very intersting car. Wish seller had posted some photos of interior. Not sure how you restore a car with that pedigree and put that one nostril breather on it

I'm with BJ on the breather, at least a dual snorkel and a vent tube would be fairly decent - or even aftermarket chromie. Its had some miles put on it since rebuild going by exhaust port paint on the head. And they appear to be RoundPorts too ! Maybe just something he slapped on it to look more stock'ish for the pics. just weird lol

Has the right exhaust manifolds instead of headers.
Would have been a poverty cap steel wheel car.
Non-console bench seat is a trip.
Pretty wild / unusual car. I like it.

Thats an American PHS Invoice for a Canadian car.
The GM of Canada history report would have been better document to buy.
And would be a double cross check reference for engine block originality (EUN# vs. VIN#).

Looks like a pretty strait up original car in most respects.
Hope it has a lot of born with drivetrain intact.

I didn't see any sign of an interior Ram Air cable pull / bracket.
Would be an extra wild factor of craziness if it was an Induction delete car
Not that i've ever heard of or seen one ... just saying

Thats what I thought. You guys must alerted Greg to it because I beleive he bought it today. If it was Dans car then he nust have died or something because he wanted 125k for it

of course #s matching would help, very rare to have an original ram 4 in any case. Most eventually got a rod thru the side of the bock.

That is/was Dan McKinnon's car. It was in Hemmings maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Dan bought it out of Canada for a VERY reasonable sum. I was actually the first caller on the car at that time but the column shift automatic and the location killed it for me. I probably should have bought and sold that one.

If That was Dans car Then how do you explain the price drop of 100k? It has to be worth more than that isnt it?? Is this the end of Ram IV's being worth more than Ram III's?

What a strange way to get a deal. 25 grand for a ram IV ragtop is very nice. I don't know about the 65 k scenario profferred by some. Granted, rare options but I would think console shift, more vibrant color interior and darker paint would really wake up this car. Of course then you'd have to deal with 20 other other Starlight Black/red interior Ram Air IV convertibles which most likely are tribute cars! Maybe Midnight Green would be better? Just thinking out loud if it were my car.
