Even though they were just eyeballing things, they've got a pretty good work ethic. Wouldn't have expected that just looking at the shop. There's a video of some of the gunsmith shops in Khyber Pass, might not be accurate but they make some decent looking copies starting from scratch.

But old Pontiacs these days get fitured machinework.

Check out the single angle valve job and seat contact that must of been 1/4" + wide. Loved the sidewinder lap job finished off with the hand stick.
That dirty rag poked in the guide probably rearranged the grit rather than cleaned it out.
The surface grinder must not had a functioning coolant pump.

No thanks, not even for a junker.
