Default Transmission Help

Hi All, I have a problem with a new TCI street fighter trans, and/or TCI converter. Problem is is that after engine start, I can drive it for approx, 1/2 mile, then loose all gears. In order to get the car moving again, I have to shut it off for a 1 min, then restart, and it works. Its reall annoying cuz sometimes it happens in traffic. I've checked the fluid level, and its a bit above the required mark, I also looked at the converter bolts to flexplate and all are tight. From the Factory it said it put out the right pressure. Any ideas

wow- sounds like you are losing pressure to the clutch packs somehow and it's not holding the gears- like you have a bad front pump in that trans or something. perhaps they muffed one of the o-rings when installing it, or ??

pull the trans, take it to a trans shop, have them go through it

Stupid question but did you check you fluid level ??? I had a friend with a similar problem. He filled it to wht he thought was full. But after he drove it it stopped moving. He discovered it was actually half full. Give it a check. Can't hurt.
