Exclamation YENKO board SPAMMED!!!

Some of you may have already seen this but sometime this weekend the YENKO board got hit by spam posts adding 5-10 posts to just about every thread - literally THOUSANDS of spam posts.

Hope we have software in place here to combat this!

Sorry to hear that, hope they have a good back up. That would be the easiest.

That is the second time in the last few days that it happened. On Friday they got 700 spam post. It looks to be that many or more this morning.

They were behind in installing updates. Another local car board was hit a few months ago and is still digging out.

Our admin, dm_fan is on top of it, but its ever changing in the world of hackers.

I run vB Version 4.2.1 on my forum and we got nailed a couple of months ago; but hacked.

It was not fun digging out of that.

Hard to stay out front I hear....especially when supported, trained or even run by or with their Govnts support.

The US needs to step up their "complaints" against China, for one, who are supporting or even using State sponsored hacking as way to grow their economy, and trash ours.

China is big on stealing , and a lot of spam links to stuff being sold is knockoffs/counterfeit.

I agree but I don't think that it will ever happen.

Spammers all but ruined the GrandAmRegistry a while back.
Last time I checked, I couldn't get past their home page.
