Fire extinguisher floor mount.
Hi, I want to mount a halguard HG250 2.5 lb. extinguisher on the floor behind the passenger seat of my 65 Gto. I would like to use the seat mounting bolts to secure it.
I would appreciate advice on brackets that might bolt on and allow easy access to the extinguisher. Thanks in advance. |

H3R sells a mounting bracket to go with the Halguard fire extinguisher, that's probably the easiest way to go. https://www.h3rperformance.com/c4210-seat-mounts Alternately, if you're good at fabrication you could follow their design and make one.

If you have very basic fabrication tools, I'd encourage you to make one yourself. Only tools you'd likely need are an angle grinder, drill, and a bench vise. As for how easy it would be to reach if needed, you can determine that on your own by sitting in the driver seat of your car and flipping the passenger seat forward. Can you reach behind the passenger seat when seated in the driver seat? There's your answer.

Under the front edge of the driver's seat is probably the best place, as long as the bracket is secure so the extinguisher won't come loose.

I use the H3R mount and it worked super with my seat extender brackets too. I highly recommend it -- and do mount it under the front of your seat for easier access. |

It look like it's complete but you'll have to check with the manufacturer, I've only seen the picture on their website.
